The reverse of this coin vividly depicts the landing of Governor Phillip at Port Jackson in 1788, designed by Stuart Devlin. Meanwhile, the obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II facing right (her effigy known as the “Third Portrait”). The Queen is wearing the royal diadem which she wears on her way to and from the State Opening of Parliament, a pearl necklace and earrings. This obverse was designed by Raphael Maklouf.
